I absolutely love the idea of post disaster photography. Working in the restoration business for quite some time, I have seen all sorts of scenes such as this, and have also found something oddly picturesque about them.
The lighting and colour are pretty much perfect here... The tapering effect of the light as you get closer to the camera, and the two main colours being black and a rather unpleasant hue or orange add a rather grim effect.
My only criticism comes from my experience with locations such as this. Though to most, this appears to be in a rather shocking state of disarray... It ends up being rather average to me, and I'm well aware that it gets much more grim and shocking than this (I assume that this photo is aiming to be beautifully grim).
